The Home-made Free MBA in Entrepreneurship

by John Gordon | 20:10 GMT

If you’ve decided to start your entrepreneurial journey, there are certain skills that are necessary in order to survive. Since each person is different, and has already has certain skills while lacking in others, it’s impossible to provide a one-size-fits-all solution. However, leveraging the resources of the major universities and the wisdom of successful entrepreneurs, it is possible to create a curriculum of courses based on the MBA/Executive MBA programs, and to obtain those courses through the free online-learning courses from major universities around the world.

My proposed course list is as follows, along with links to a free course to follow.

The critical basics:

  • Financial accounting
  • Leading and managing organizations
  • Marketing Management
  • Micro economics
  • Statistics
  • Learning to Change
  • Building High Performance Teams
  • Management accounting
  • Negotiations
  • Operations Management
  • Macro economics
Intermediate Skills
  • Entrepreneurship and business planning
  • Sales Force Management
  • Venture Financing
  • Capital Markets
  • Managing Innovation
